With this version, I have added a colour gradient layer over the top to emphasize a sombre.
The adjustment was made by creating an adjustment layer and putting over the top of the timeline. From here, I dragged and dropped in the colour correction effect onto the layer, which allow for the colour to be manipulated.
This effect consists of a reduced saturation and an increased blue colour hue. This resulted in a subtle change in the colour that makes the visual seem cold. This bleak, washed out strikes a balance between a positive and negative tone. A monochrome colour scheme would have been too depressing and a vibrant colour scheme would have been too joyful. this use of colour that feels washed out is made to represent the middle point between negativity and positivity, which acts as a metaphor for the concept as a whole.
